Argentina to begin tourist reciprocity fees on December 20 2009
There's been talk for some time about the tourist "reciprocity" fee that was to be put into play. It seems that beginning on December 20, 2009, the fees will go into effect for American Citizens who are visiting Argentina for business or tourism. The fee will be $131 U.S. dollars. As of now the fee will only be Ezeiza International Airport. It will then be good for ten years for multiple entries into Argentina, in accordance with U.S. reciprocity. You'll be able to pay the fee in U.S. dollars, by credit card or with travelers checks.
For more info contact the office of Overseas Citizens Services in the U.S. from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday, EST 1-888-407-4747. From outside the U.S. call (202)-501-4444.
